The face is, guess what, skewed.

I am not sure you should have cut off the corner of an eye with the edge like that. the composition with the closeup of cut-off face on the left and an empty space with no clear structure on the right is a bit uninvolving. There's nothing wrong in leaving empty spaces and cutting the image with edges, but you need to do so discerningly, where these particular things will improve the effect. Guide the eye through the image; do not let it stumble over cut-off eye or leave it to wander in the void.

Study the section on composition in "Creative Illustration" by Andrew Loomis.
